Directions

  1. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in molasses and eggs, set aside.
  3. Mix together dry ingredients, blending well.
  4. Gradually mix flour mixture into creamed ingredients until dough is blended and smooth.
  5. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and dip in sugar.
  6. Place 2 1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes. Do not overbake! The longer you bake them, the harder the cooled cookie will be.
  7. Store in a tightly covered container.
