  1. Soften lard.
  2. Cream withsugar and mix with molasses.
  3. Add sour milk, soda, and water.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Sift in flour and salt.
  6. Roll out quickly and lightly on floured board to 3/8 inch thick.
  7. Cut with a teacup-sized cutter.
  8. Bake in greased cookie sheet at 350 for 12 minutes.
  9. This is a big cookie that melts in your mouth.
