Souped up Split Pea Soup

ingredients
- 1 ham hock
- 1 lb dried split peas
- 1⁄2 cup dried red lentils
- 1 cup carrot, chopped
- 1⁄3 cup baby corn, chopped
- 1⁄4 cup pine nuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 8 cups chicken broth
directions
- put carrots, baby corn, onion, and pine nuts in the food processor and chop.
- put all ingredients except chicken broth in the crock pot.
- add 6 cups of the chicken broth.
- cook on high for 3 hours.
- turn down to low for another 2 hours and add the remaining 2 cups of chicken broth (if you like it thick or thinner adjust the broth to your preference).
