ingredients

1 cup vegetable shortening
1 ³⁄₄ cups sugar
¹⁄₃ cup egg white
1 tablespoon egg white
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup low-fat sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 ¹⁄₂ cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¹⁄₄ teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped

directions

Preheat oven to 375°F
Sift together dry ingredients; set aside.
Cream together shortening & sugar.
Gradually add egg whites, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla sour cream.
Gradually add dry ingredients to cream mixture. When mixed well, add chocolate chips and pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
