ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup prepared yellow mustard
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup cider vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup beer
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
directions
- Whisk all ingredients together.
- Store refrigerated.
- To use: Paint sauce on ribs or chicken frequently (about every 10 minutes) during cooking or marinate pork roasts overnight before roasting.

I love the flavor of this stuff! I tagged it for Photo Tag and will use it to make pulled pork in my crock pot. It should be delish! -
great blend of flavors, but thinner than i expected. i used on shrimp and mushroom kabobs on a charcoal grill, was a great flavor for that. and put the shrimp and a lil of the sauce on top of a salad the next day. if ic an make it thicker next time i will, if not, i won't make it again. -
This sauce is sooo tasty! I'm not a big fan of tomato based BBQ sauces, this is great. I used it to accompany pulled pork sandwiches. I will definatley used again to marinate or baste with. Thanks! -
Dh walked into the house and wouldn't leave the kitchen because it smelled so good when the chicken was being prepared with the barbecue sauce. I subbed apple juice for the beer and it was still wonderful.

I was one of the original members of Recipezaar that was truly a community of individuals that enjoyed each other in forums and chat rooms. I've been a member of this site since 2003. Made some tremendous friends that I still think of often. I'll continue coming here because my recipes are here and so many more that I tried over the years as a member. It's just a tad boring now and just another recipe site like all the rest. Sad.
