  • Skin rattlesnake.
  • Clean and wash meat.
  • Cut in 4 inch lengths.
  • Beat egg and milk.
  • Mix salt, pepper, garlic salt, Accent and flour.
  • Preheat deep fat fryer with cooking oil.
  • Dip snake into egg mixture and then in flour mixture and place it in hot oil.
  • Cook until golden brown.

  1. This is a good recipe!. Unfortunately I will only eat some when someone else has prepared it. I have had too many close calls with my children and myself with rattlesnakes. We live in rattlesnake country,used to have pigs and geese to protect the little ones from snakes, now we don't have the livestock and must watch our step. But if you have the opportunity to try some, please do. This is a great recipe! Thanks for posting!

Hope to get back to Georgia soon -- I miss being able to buy simple things like Crisco (or any kind for that matter!) shortening, Corn Meal, SNOW CRAB!!!
