- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb sweet Italian sausage
- 1 cup 2% low-fat milk
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons dehydrated onion
- 1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 (15 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon basil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 8 ounces spaghetti
directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- For meatballs, combine the first six ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
- Roll the meat mixture into 1 1/2 to 2 oz balls and place on a cookie sheet.
- Place meatballs in oven and bake for 20 - 30 minutes turning once.
- In a sauce pan, stir Oregano, Basil and Garlic into the sauce.
- Heat the sauce and simmer for at least 20 minutes.
- Bring about a gallon of water to a boil.
- Once the water is boiling, add the kosher salt and spaghetti and cook till al dente (about 10 minutes).
- While pasta cooks, remove the meatballs from the oven and add to the sauce.
