Spaghetti With Brown Butter

"I have always loved ordering the Spaghetti with Mizithra cheese and Brown Butter from the Spaghetti Factory. This is how I make it at home! (Please read the directions before starting.)"

  • Bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add the salt, and stir.
  • Once the water is boiling, add the dry spaghetti noodles to the water.
  • Check the spaghetti once it has been cooking for about 10 minutes to see if it is al dente. That is firm in the center, but still chewy.
  • Once it is al dente, drain the water.
  • While the spaghetti is cooking, Heat the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir the butter so that it will not burn.
  • Remove from heat when butter turns light brown and gives off a nutty aroma.
