ingredients

1 (12 ounce) can Spam
1 (7 ounce) package creamettes macaroni
¹⁄₄ cup butter
¹⁄₄ cup flour
¹⁄₂ teaspoon salt
¹⁄₂ teaspoon dry mustard
2 cups milk
¹⁄₂ lb sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
¹⁄₂ green pepper, chopped

directions

Prepare macaroni as directed on package. Slice, then cut in squares, one can Spam, reserving a few slices. Arrange macaroni and Spam squares in 2 quart casserole; pour on cheese sauce. For cheese sauce: melt butter, blend in flour, salt and mustard. Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thick. Add 1/2 lb. cheese. Stir until smooth. Place Spam slices on top of casserole. Add chopped green pepper. Bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes.
