Sparkling Jello

"This "recipe" is for my personal favorite flavors, but there are so many different delicious combinations it's mind boggling. My suitemate says this has a very "intense" flavor -- personally, I think it's perfect."

  1. Curious why when I print out a recipe that calls for sugar free Jell-o (0 carbs), diet Sprite (0 carbs) and boiling water (0 carbs) shows nutritional info of total carbohydrate of 29.6 g.

  1. I made this for Thanksgiving; it was good, but I didn't really notice any difference in taste from jello made the "regular" way. I might try it again with diet coke instead of sprite.

  2. I made this for dessert last week. I followed the recipe as written except I used diet 7up instead of sprite as that is what I had on hand. My family enjoyed this. Made for Spring PAC 2009.

  3. I used strawberry kiwi sugar free Jell-o and Sprite for my recipe. I poured it over peaches in plastic wine glasses for a champagne and peaches look. It turned out great! For a nice frothy top I whipped up leftover jell-o with an egg-beater and topped off the glasses.

  4. I've been using this recipe for quite a while now- can't believe I've never rated it. My family likes it with any flavor of sugar-free jello. This makes plain jello a little more special- in fact, I can't remember the last time I made plain jello since discovering this little trick. Thanks for sharing! :)

  5. I made this using sugar-free cranberry Jell-O and Canada Dry diet cranberry ginger-ale, which you can only find around the holidays. This was a great combination. I have a few more in mind that I can't wait to try. I would suggest adding to Step 2 "Do not stir" so you keep the bubbles. Made for Alphabet Soup Game. Thank you for posting a great diabetic recipe!

I love to bake, especially when I can try different flavors and unusual combinatins. Someday I'd love to own a bakery, but for now I'm still just experimenting.
