Sparkling Sorbet Floats Petite

"This 2-ingredient treat is better than the sum of its parts. Depending on the beverage used for these Sparkling Sorbet Floats, this works for adults and kids too. You can make your own carbonated fruit juice simply by combining your favorite juice (cranberry or orange is really tasty) with club soda. Sugar free ingredients work great!"

  1. The best thing to do with this is let it sit a while and let the sorbet melt into the champagne. It gets this creamy texture which is just fantastic. I used lemon sorbet for this and really liked the combination. Made for the Babes of ZWT4.

  2. Yum.. this is in essence similar to the drink that I know in New Zealand to be called an "Ice Cream Soda" and once the carbonated drink (alcholic or otherwise) hits the ice cream ( or in this case Sorbet) it fizzes up the glass very quickly so I needed to use a tall glass to contain it in, I have no clue how to manage that chemical reaction in the limited space of a shot glass. Not that I would have managed to get two scoops of sorbet into a shot glass anyway ? The technical difficulties aside, the taste of this is very refreshing indeed, I used raspberry falvours for both the drink and the sorbet and it was a wonderful afternoon thirst quencher. Made for Zaar World Tour 2008. Thanks !

  3. Absolutely delicious! I made this using lemon sorbet and prosecco. JUST heavenly as Liza said! It DID remind me of Venice! :) I will definitely make this one again - very soon! Thank you, Annacia!! Made for ZWT4.

  4. Had this years ago in Italy...Venice, when my life was exciting! Anyway we were at a tiny pizza joint and they served this. A scoop of lime gelato/sorbetto topped with prosecco in a champagne flute. HEAVEN in the hot summer. Thanks so much for posting and bringing back a great memory!
