Spezie (Similar to Dukka)

"Spezie is fantastic served with crusty bread dipped in lemon oil and then into the Spezie. Or as a crust for fish, chicken or lamb before roasting or baking. Sprinkle over steamed greens, or salad for a low fat flavour burst or mix with yoghurt and roast garlic for a potato salad dressing with crunch"

  1. This is a great recipe that helps feed my dukkah obsession! :D Really nice as a coating for bread with olive oil, and also as a topping for stuffed roasted vegetables. Great flavours!

  2. This has been the best newest food experience I`ve had on zaar! I`ve had many kinds of food through out my very fast culinary life and this easy mix is warming, spicy, comforting and so flavorful. I had it on bread with lemon oil mixed with olive oil because I was very low on the lemon oil. I can`t wait to play with this. Lamb, fish, chicken, steak crusted. Deep fried cheese with this on it would be great as well. I so wish to give this 10 stars! Thanks for a new taste experience! A new staple for me. Using this as a salt substitute would be a great way to cut down on salt. Thank you Annetty!

Hi Everyone! For fun I like to cook, eat and drink and occassionaly get out and do some exercise to balance out all the eating I do. Like alot of other people at Zaar I have way too many cookbooks and I just keep buying them (I can't help myself). My poor partnerdoesn't get much of a look-in in the kitchen department anymore, mind you he'd rather eat than cook, so we're a perfect match.
