Spiced Beef Kebabs - New Zealnd

Serve with a nice array of bbq vegetables for a tasty, quick meal. These may be grilled in the oven for the same amount of time, turning regularly and brush with any remaining marinade during cooking."

  • Cut the beef rump into generous cubes.
  • Mix together all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and add the beef and toss to coat evenly.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours if possible.
  • Thread cubes onto metal skewers, packing the cubes close together. Season well with salt and pepper.
  • BBQ over a high heat for 8-10 minutes, turning to brown all sides.

  2. A nice mild rather than 'spicy' recipe. I think if making again I'd add a pinch of Chili Powder and maybe use Smoked Paprika over the plain, which would help it live up to its name. Made for our first BBQ of the 2012 / 2013 summer season, though it was still a bit nippy outside. Cooked and reviewed for Aussie / Kiwi Swap Oct 2012

  4. Oh, how I do like me some cow...and chickens and pigs, too, and I never turn down shrimp. And believe me, I never get those confused with, let's say, rutabagas or parsnips, though. Made for ZWT#8~AU/NZ.
     
  5. I only marinated about an hour or so and did not season with salt and pepper. Just terrific!
