  1. Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon and milk.
  2. Cook slowly to soft ball stage (236-240 degF).
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Immediately add vanilla and nuts.
  5. Stir carefully until coating loses its gloss and is creamy.
  6. Turn out on wax paper.
  7. and spread out nuts using 2 forks, being careful not to get burned.
  8. Cool to room temperature before storing.
