Spiced Peaches

"Our dinner would not be complete without spiced peaches - and they are so EASY to make. Much better than the store bought, and I use the extra syrup as part of the glaze for ham when I cook one. And the house smells soooooo good too. "

  1. I was searching for a spiced peaches recipe--and read through until I found ingredients that I had on hand! This was delicious! I used ground cinnamon & ground cloves instead of the whole spices because that was what was in the cupboard. You are exactly right...the house does smell good! It brought my whole family into the kitchen to see what was cooking! I served this over homemade biscuit shortcake, with whipped cream, and mmmmm...! This recipe is definitely one I"ll make again! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Oh so simple and oh sooo yummy! The whole family loved them. The house smells yummy and the leftover syrup was "fought" over. This will definitely be made all the time! I added a bit of cornstarch (1-2 T) to the syrup (after I took the cinnamon sticks and cloves). That alone could be used on vanilla ice cream as a syrup.Thank you very much for posting! UPDATE:I wanted to add that I have made this several time (always) with rave reviews and my children start to get TOTALLY excited when I start making them

  3. We ate this during dinner , then my family went back for seconds ! I added a bit of brown sugar to it to get it thicker. My boys put it over biscuits like a dessert it was delicious. The vinegar must be the key to getting it just right. We'll make this often.
