  1. Mix ingredients for each sectrion separately.
  2. For both sections, cream shortening with sugar. Beat in egg whites for white section and egg yolks and molasses for the dark section. Mix dry ingredients for both and add alternately with milk for white section and water for dark section. Place batters in 9x13 pan by tablespoons in checkerboard fashion. Marble with a knife.
  3. Cook at 300F for approximately 45 minutes.
