  1. These were delicious. I did use regular carrots that I roll-cut into pieces - the so-called baby carrots are regular carrots cut down to size, which seems like a terrible waste. I air-fried them, so they had a grilled vibe. The butter-spice mix is delicious is and I think would be good on other vegetables, as well.

  2. Five minutes in my microwave and this dish was ready for the table. I microwaved ALL the ingredients together. I will be making this one again. If there are children around I'll have a second batch made without the cayenne pepper for them. Made for Recipe Swap #62 Australian/New Zealand Cooking game

  3. Delicious and easy. A great side for our turkey dinner. I grew up with nutmeg on carrots, as my grandmother always made them that way, but the addition of the garlic (I used powder instead of salt), and the cayenne really made these great.

  4. I had made this over the holidays and realized that I never reviewed it. It was made for a dinner party and all the guests raved over the flavor of the carrots. For such a simple and easy recipe, it really delivered on taste. Thanks for sharing!

  5. This is so easy to prepare and it looks great plated. DH and I both thought that there was just a tad bit too much nutmeg for our taste buds. Next time I will cut that spice in half. Thanks for posting. Made for Diabetes Awareness Month tag game. :)

I came to this site in March of 2004. It was then called Recipezaar. This site was the first on-line site that I ever joined. I first popped in 2003 while searching for a Peach Cobbler Recipe. In March of 2004, DH was having shoulder surgery and I was looking for a Split Pea Soup. Once again I found myself on Zaar as it came to be called. Over the years I hung out and learned from some of the best home cooks in the country, I posted over 700 recipes on the site, reviewed over 3500 recipes and posted over 3000 food photos. Over the next 10 years the site made many changes and in 2010 it was sold to to Food Network and became Food.com. Until last year we played games, talked and shared with one another. As a result of the community and the relationships I built I got to meet some wonderful people from all over the country. I also have a great number of friends that I have never meet face to face. Some of us still hang out at various places across the net. Zaar was more than a cooking community. It was an internet community of friendship. Life is an adventure ever changing.
