Directions

  1. Cream together shortening,brown sugar and eggs.
  2. Blend in grated orange peel and orange juice.
  3. Stir together thoroughlythe flour,baking soda,spices and 1/2 tsp salt.
  4. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir in rasins and nuts.
  6. Spread in greased 15 1/2x10 1/2x1 inch baking pan.
  7. Bake at 350 for 22-25 minutes.
  8. Cool,cut into diamonds or bars.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
