  • Heat oil on medium heat.
  • Saute onion and garlic.
  • Add spices.
  • Saute one minute.
  • Add flour and mix.
  • Add broth, lentils, tomato paste and bay leaf.
  • Bring to boil, stirring often.
  • Cover and reduce heat.
  • Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Remove bay leaf.
  • Puree.
  • Stir in evaporated milk.
  • Reheat.

  1. This is a wonderful soup. It has a nice heat to it but it does not cause you to reach for a glass of water. I made half a batch and there was enough soup for 4 people. Since I had some half and half open that is what I used. I adopted this chef for the *Spring PAC 2008* game

i collect cookbooks( I have a problem) I try at least one new recipe a week, sometimes several. Sometimes i will get hooked on a particular cuisine, course or ingredient. The kids still remember the cookie summer and our middle son is finally at a point where he will eat Greek gain.
