  1. My kids loved these when they were little. They could make them themselves and give them away as Christmas goodies to relatives and classmates.<br/>The recipe I have calls for a can of spanish peanuts, and I would not recommend making these without them.

  2. My grandma used to make a variation of these when I was a kid. They have been a favorite ever since. She always makes them with the bag of butterscotch chips and 1 cup of peanutbutter and melts them together. then mixes in the noodles and a small bag of mini marshmallows. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!! I've tried it with choc. chips and the peanutbutter, that's good as well. I've also added some peanuts for extra crunch. It's always a hit where ever I take them!!! :)

  3. I used to make these cookies all the time especially for Christmas, an easy recipe for those daunting cookie exchanges! I live overseas now & it's a challenge finding chips. A friend I had a long time ago made these for me and I had to prod her daily to tell me what was in them because of the wonderful taste. I was so surprised that the butterscotch chips were the secret. I call them Chinese cookies or Haystacks. Be careful if you are tempted to use milk chocolate chips because it will make the cookies too sweet (my lesson to myself!)

  4. My mom used to make these. They are SOOOOO yummy!! Thanks for posting! I will be making these for my kids soon I'm sure.
