directions

  • make roux with butter and flour
  • add spice.
  • add stock and milk.
  • whisk until smooth
  • add cheese.
  • whisk
  • add worcestershire
  • whisk.
  • add jalapeno
  • whisk
  • add spinach
  • stir.
  • can cool down at this point.
  • to bake turn into a greased casserole
  • top with crackers
  • pour butter over top.
  • bake 350 for30 minutes until browned and bubbly.

  1. This was easy to make. I followed the recipe as.given, using a medium cheddar cheese. DH and I loved it and I will be making it again soon. Thanks for sharing a good recipe!
     
  2. Dont be put off by what looks like a lot of ingredients, this comes together quickly and is absolutely delicious! I scaled the recipe down for 2, and I might add that I particularly enjoyed the celery seed in this. Lacking soda crackers, I used cheese flavoured potato chips, which made a very nice topping. next time I wont scale it down, we finished it and I would have really enjoyed leftovers! Thank you Dienia, made for ZWT 9
