  • In a large bowl, place margarine, sugar, cinnamon and essence and cream for about 15 minutes until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the baking powder.
  • Fold in flour.
  • Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease an eight or nine inch cake pan and then dust lightly with a little flour.
  • Pour batter into pan and bake for 40 minutes or until middle springs back and the sides leave the pan. (a little trick insert a tooth pick into cake and if it comes out clean it is done).
  • Let cool thoroughly in pan and then remove.
