Directions

  1. Stir together flour and baking powder.
  2. Beat butter for 30 seconds; add sugar and beat until fluffy.
  3. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract; beat well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating till well combined.
  5. Do not chill.
  6. Force dough through a cookie press onto an ungreased cookie sheet. If desired, sprinkle with colored sugars or with ground almonds dyed red or green with food coloring.
  7. Bake in a 400° oven for 7-8 minutes.
  8. Cool on wire rack.
