Steak Rub

"This is very rich because of the coffee. You can rub it on just before you grill or 2 hours prior to allow the flavors to "marinate" the steak. Just put in a zip lock bag and refrigerate until you're ready to grill. Take it out about 20 minutes before grilling to allow the meat to come a little to room temperature."

  • Mix all ingredients with a small wire whisk. Store in an airtight jar.
  • To use, oil all sides of steak (or any kind of beef) with olive oil and rub steak rub well into meat surface (about 1-3 teaspoons per side, or more depending on size of piece of beef). Grill 5 minutes per side per inch for rare, longer for more doneness.
