  • Peel and core the apples.
  • Cut into thick slices.
  • Sauté in butter 2-3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with sugar.
  • Add water, wine, lemon peel and lemon juice.
  • Cover and cook slowly until tender.

  1. Tail light, This recipe was good, I did like the idea of lemon peel and white wine in the stewed apples. However, I also found that it called for way too much sugar. Perhaps next time I will add rosemary and less sugar and serve with thick roasted pork chops.
