  1. This was super easy & so delicious! I love Greek food but can't get it where we live, so I was so happy to find this recipe! I made it with brown rice, some garlic herb flat bread and tzatziki dip. Made a wonderful meal with very little effort! Definitely a keeper!

  2. This was amazing! The aroma coming from the oven was heavenly and just from that we knew we were in for a treat. I did make a few additions and though they probably weren't authentic, they fit perfectly and added an extra dimension to the stew. Towards the end of cooking I added a drained and rinsed can of cannelini beans and some fresh spinach for some extra nutrition. We served this over brown rice and it made for a wonderfully scrumptious and South Beach diet friendly meal. Thank you so much for a recipe that is one of my favorites off Zaar so far!

  3. Have been looking for a recipe for this for years. The last time I had it I lived in Cyprus for 3 years in the 70's. It was wonderful and brought back so many memories. It is also very authentic. The only change I made was to reduce the Olive oil, as personally I do not like a lot. I made a flat style Cyprus loaf to soak up the juices. Wonderful!!!

  4. I loved this dish! It was my first try cooking a greek entree and I am so glad I chose this recipe. After dinner there was just 1 small bowl left which I just ate for lunch. It is even better the second day.
