  1. This was super delicious, and so easy to prepare! I loved the orange sauce. I thought it would be a bit too spicy for my crowd, but it was just right and had plenty of flavor with just a mild "kick" of heat. I served the shrimp with white rice and steamed corn. And it was a fantastic dinner. Thanks, Chef PotPie.

  2. What a delicious dish...we loved the sauce...I cut the recipe in half for the two of us...and served it over soba noodles with a side of steamed broccoli...mad for "Seaside Brasserie" 2020 tag game...

  3. This turned out to be a special treat for me tonight. I was just getting ready to make it when my sister called to talk about something important. I ended up asking my son to make the recipe. When I was finished with my call, dinner was finished! It was delicious! I loved the sauce. My son cooked up some pasta which was great with the shrimp and sauce. I need to take important phone calls right before fixing dinner more often!

  4. This was delicious! I made half of the recipe for the two of us and used even a bit less samba oelek and it was on the edge of too hot for me (the wimp) and perfect for DH! I used tiny pasta b/c am out of rice.

Tweaks

  1. I loved this! I doubled the sauce and used some red chili paste in place of the sambal oelek. There are red chili pastes available in the store that have the same ingredients (chili, lemongrass, etc) as sambal oelek from what I can tell.

  2. Very tasty! I used 2 T. of hot chili paste with garlic instead of sambal oelek. I also used 3 T. of OJ concentrate instead of juice to "up" the orange flavor. Thanks for an inspirational recipe!
