Strawberry Colada
"Wow this is great! I had to try this drink when I saw it in the Bartender's Guide. Even DH loves it also. It's a pina colada with added strawberries. I used 6 fresh strawberries. But I guess frozen can be used but with fresh, it has a very fresh taste. This drink is for 1 serving, but I made it for 2 in lowball glasses."

- ice cube, crushed
- 3 ounces golden rum
- 4 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 ounce coconut cream
- 6 strawberries, hulled
- pineapple, wedge to garnish
- extra strawberry
directions
- In a blender, mix together the crushed ice, rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and hulled strawberries.
- Blend until smooth, then, without straining, pour into a chilled highball glass (or 2 lowball glasses).
- Dress with the wedge of pineapple and a few strawberries.

Having this now, I used Barcadi Rum, with the strawberries and it is very good. Great drink. Might try it with pineapples too. Made for I recommend. -
Very good! I made this with frozen strawberries since I have a ton left over from DH's tonsillectomy when all he ate were smoothies! I think this would also be very good with no rum, although I don't think I will be having it that way! I also a little bit of pineapple to the mix before blending! Thanks for posting! This is very yummy. I made it two ways, once using rum, and once substituting vodka, as that is what I use in my daquiris...and this is very similar to them. I liked both of them, but have to admit being more partial to the rum version! I think it went better with the other fruit. Thanks for posting!
