Strawberry Margarita Freeze

"I love strawberries and this simple dessert really gets you in the mood for spring. It's very fresh and creamy. I didn't have orange juice but I had oranges so I made fresh squeezed (YUMMY). I also used real whipped cream instead of whipped topping. I found the recipe on Kraftfoods.com. Delicious! Cook time excludes chilling time."

directions

  • Mix pretzels and melted butter and press firmly onto bottom of a 9" springform pan or 9" round cake pan. (Kraft suggests lining the bottom of the pan with plastic wrap before using for easy removal of the dessert, but I didn't bother.).
  • Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  • Gradually add orange juice, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in crushed strawberries.
  • Add whipped topping and stir with wire whisk until well blended.
  • Pour over crust.
  • Freeze 3 hours or so until firm.
  • Let stand in refrigerator 15 minutes before cutting and serving.
  • Garnish with halved strawberries just before serving.

I love to try new recipes, and this is a wonderful site to find new additions. I rarely make the same thing twice because it's so much fun to try something different. My life long dream is to travel the world and eat my way around it.
