  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place strawberries in a 2-quart baking dish.
  3. Sift confectioner's sugar over strawberries.
  4. Heat milk and beat in the 2 egg yolks.
  5. Mix well, then add cake or cookie crumbs.
  6. Spread over strawberries.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. Lower oven temperature to 275 degrees F.
  9. Beat egg whites until stiff.
  10. Fold in the 4 tablespoons sugar.
  11. Pile meringue on pudding and return to oven for about 15 minutes.
