  1. this was very good. hard to eat just one piece.

  2. Delicious! I chose this recipe because all the others I looked at called for Jello and I didn't have any. Am I glad I picked this one! It's wonderful. Easy and tasty and made with ingredients that you don't have to run out to the store to get. I added about a teaspoon of lemon juice and 3 drops of red food coloring to the glaze after it was done cooking. I used 2 pints of sliced strawberries and I tossed the berries in the glaze before pouring into my pie shell. My whole family loved it! Thank you!

  3. The flavor was phenomenal!!! The only amendment I would make is to slice the berries first, in addition to adding more...perhaps 1 1/2 or 2 pints. Enjoy!!!!

  4. Best eaten after chilled 3-5 hours. Was very delicious and so easy to make!

  5. This is a good pie but i have made this for years and if you add a small box of strawberry jello after you cook the glaze it makes this pie great

Tweaks

  1. This was excellent. I used coconut sugar in place of the white sugar, and things still turned out great! I also made my own pie crust, since everyone in my house is health conscious, but we want to splurge a little bit once in a while. It definitely tastes better chilled.

  2. This was a great recipe thank you! I used 6 Tbsp of flour in place of the 3 tbsp of cornstarch and used a graham cracker crust it was divine! Thank you! Next time i think i will add red food coloring to the glaze and use a refrigerated pie crust.. Thanks for your recipe!!
