- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
- 1 tablespoon flax seed oil
- 1⁄2 lemon, juice of
- 3⁄4 cup buttermilk
- 3⁄4 cup pineapple juice
directions
- Put everything in a mixer or blender and mix until smooth.

I normally make boring smoothies with the usually ingredients and whatever fruits I have that I need to use up, but this recipe was different and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I did! It's just the right amount of ingredients to where its not as sweet as usual, which is what I like. Great recipe!

I made 1/2 of the recipe for one serving and shared some with DS. I had to sub vanilla extract for the vanilla protein powder as I didn't have any of it. This was different from the normal smoothies I have tried, with the addition of the lemon juice, as this isn't as sweet, which I enjoyed. My 17 yo DS added some sugar the his as isn't wasn't sweet enough for him. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Made for Sweet Traditions Tag.
