"This is my favorite salad in the summer and I love sitting on the patio at panera sipping on an iced green tea and enjoying this salad! I just had to find a way to copy it!"

  1. My brother's favorite recipe. I make it all the time for him. So what if Panera has "tweaked" their recipe? It's a salad.

  2. Way over portioned. Cut fruit and add as needed. I do two cups of romaine and add fruit as necessary.

  3. First the original salad dressing is dairy free, glutton free and fat free. It has no mayo and no milk in it at all. Panera lists the ingredients as For the dressing:**3 tablespoons cider vinegar.**2 tablespoons honey.**2 teaspoons Dijon mustard.**1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds.**1/4 teaspoon kosher salt.**Freshly ground black pepper.**3 tablespoons vegetable oil.**1/3 cup small-dice red onion (about 1/4 medium onion). Second the salad has no pineapple so therefore this is a poor copycat.

  4. That dressing tasted nothing like the original. You’re definitely missing minced onions and some type of orange or lemon juice

  5. We don't a Panera where I live, but on vacation just last week and tried it. Love it. And mine had pineapple!

Like most everyone else on this site, I LOVE to cook. I really enjoy trying new recipes and adding my own flair to them. I never make a dish exactly the same way twice, I'm always improving it. Plus I tend to improvise a lot when I'm in the kitchen.
