  1. 1. Wash strawberries and drain well. Hull and slice each strawberry into several pieces.
  2. 2. Place strawberries in medium-sized container and mash with potato masher until you reach the consistency you desire.
  3. 3. Sprinkle with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar, depending on how sweet you like the sauce.
  4. 4. Cover and refrigerate sauce for several hours. Do not add water; the strawberries will make their own juice.
  5. 5. Place Twinkies in individual dishes and top with strawberry sauce and whipped cream.
