  1. It's a little bland for my liking. I added onion powder and beef broth because it was a little thick for my liking and a bit of Worcester sauce. I also boiled the noodles in beef broth for extra flavor and it turned out great.

  2. Loved it! I read others posts and recommendations and followed this recipe and added 1 tsp of worcestershire sauce and sprinkled on some paprika. Doesn't serve 4-6 in our family. Our family of 3 have big appetites after a long day of working outdoors so we had to double it to serve 3. Thanks, it's saved in my recipe box!

  3. Hmmm.....I think someone stole my recipe hack LOL! I make a ground beef stroganoff rcipe similar to this one on occasion but the recipe is from one of my mom's WW cookbooks. The recipe involves a 12-oz. jar of fat-free beef gravy and 8-oz. of chopped up mushrooms. When I make it I sub in Campbell's Healthy Request cream of mushroom soup for the mushrooms and a packet of onion soup mix for the chopped onion so that I can still get some onion flavor in there (my sister is very picky about veggies). The recipe I used also called for a tablespoon of dry cooking sherry which I think the recipe said was optional but I think adds a nice touch. So for this recipe I'd probably only have to sub in the packet of onion soup mix for the onions and throw in the tablespoon of cooking sherry. I love beef stroganoff :)

  4. Tried this as shirt cut to my recipe. It is bland and dies not taste at all like stroganoff. There are to many real stroganoff recipes on websites including those that cut corners using ground beef that are far better. I'm sticking to my moto..Stay away from anything that has canned soup in it. Sorry, wish I could rate higher. I made as written so I could rate.

  5. Not that you need another 5 star review, but this was excellent. I loved how easy this was pulled together, everyone thought it took me all day to make. I had some sliced mushrooms that needed to be used up so I added it to the meat while it was browning with the seasonings. I also used the leanest ground turkey I could find and I didn't notice a difference in flavor and neither did my family. When my husband came home from work he asked if we had any leftovers for dinner and usually he never asks for the leftovers, this is a keeper.....just wish I could give more than the 5 stars. :-)

Tweaks

  1. small addition

  2. 5 stars AFTER I substituted the cream cheese with French onion dip and added large chunks of porta bella mushrooms.

  3. I used organic soup, and added some worcestershire and ketchup (1 tablespoon each), then topped with chopped parsley.

  4. Oh my Gosh, this was great and very simple to make. I used beef tips in mine. I cut the beef into smaller bits. I used rice instead of noodles. My family loved it.

  5. I used deer meat instead of ground beef and it was fantastic. I just sliced the meet into very very thin strips and browned with the onion... Mmmmm Thanx for a great idea and a great new game recipe.
