  • Core apples and set aside.
  • In a small bowl whisk together oats,sugar and pecans;Thoroughly cut in butter.
  • Pack mixture firmly into cored apple from both top and bottom to get all the filling inside.
  • Place apple on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes,or until apple is tender to the tip of a sharp knife.
  • Serve hot,unaccompanied or with cream -whipped or drizzled -or with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

  1. loved these apples, they turned out really lovely. I got a bit happy with and made 9. with double the quantity. They went down a treat... especially with chai tea. I used walnuts instead of pecans as it was all I had in the house.

I am a busy single mom of 5 growing boys!! My children's ages are 21,18,14,12 and 10 1/2. In my spare time,when I have any, I try to walk 3 miles a day.I like to read Woman's World and inspirational books and if I didn't have 5 beautiful boys to care for, I would probably be doing missionary work. I live in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and I swear we must be living in Heaven on earth!!!I would love to travel if I had the resources and time with Brazil and South America being on the top of my list of places to see.
