Stuffed Peppers

- 4 bell peppers, all colors
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 large onion, chopped
- 1⁄3 cup uncooked rice (or uncooked noodles)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- salt and pepper
- 3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes with garlic
directions
- Cut top half peppers off, clean out seeds.
- In large skillet cook remaining ingredients until meat is browned and crumbled.
- Stuff peppers with meat mixture.
- In now empty skillet pour 1 1/2 cans of stewed tomatoes.
- Place peppers on top, then pour remaining 1 1/2 cans of stewed tomatoes on top of peppers.
- Cover and simmer on medium heat for 30-45 minutes, pouring tomato juices over peppers consistently.
