Stunning Snickerdoodles

"I made these up myself after not being able to find a snickerdoodle recipe I liked. I love these! Everyone I give them to love them. I like the cinnamon in the actual cookie; it gives the cookies a good taste."

  • Cream butter.
  • Add sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Add flour, cinnamon, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  • Mix (probably wont be smooth, just mix until it's incorporated).
  • Add milk.
  • Mix until thoroughly mixed (doughy, I used my hands).
  • Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • While refrigerating, mix the sugar and the cinnamon.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
  • Roll the balls in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  • Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
  • Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove from pan immediately.
  • They taste the best still warm.
