  1. If you are giving these as a gift (as I did), you have three easy options. 1) You can prepare them about 15 minutes before giving away so you don't have time to nibble through the batch; 2) You can guiltily make a second batch after devouring the first; or 3) You can follow Rita's advice and simply double the batch in the first place. The cardamom gives these a different spin on spiced nuts -- one which those less familiar with the intoxicating spice may not recognize. Whether the taster knows the spice or not, they will love them. Thanks Rita! Made for *Photo Tag*.

  2. Food.com will not let me rate this recipe so I want you to know I give this a 5 rating. I've tried several other candied pecan recipes on this site but they just "didn't do it for me". That is until I tried this recipe. Very Good! Too bad you can't eat just one. I thought I would line the pan with wax paper to make for an easy clean up, bad idea. I had a hard time getting the nuts off the wax paper and a hard time getting the wax paper off the pan but once I accomplished that the pan was easy to clean up. LOL

  3. Most excellent!

  4. I didn't have cardamom on hand, so I replaced it with cayenne. Sweet & spicy - YUM!!!!!! (and I used non stick foil sprayed w butter flavored Pam. It worked perfectly)

  5. These are the best anywhere. They are so much better than the nuts you buy in the cones at the county fair. The cardamom is what makes them.
