Cookies
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
Icing
¹⁄₂ cup butter
1 (1 lb) box confectioners' sugar
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

directions

For Cookies:.
Mix butter and sugar.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla.
Add 4-5 cups of flour (start with 4 and add until dough is stiff).
Roll out on a floured surface and cut.
Bake at 350 for 8 minute.
***It helps to chill the dough before rolling***.
For Icing:.
Beat all ingredients and add food coloring as desired.

This recipe is a good basic sugar cookie recipe. After mixing the dough, I chilled for a bit in the fridge and then rolled out and cut with a round cutter. The icing was easy to put together and topped the cookies nicely. Thank you for posting!
