  • Line a baking sheet with non stick paper.
  • tip the larger quantity of sugar into a heavy based pan and add 2 tbsp water. Heat gently until it dissolves and then boil until it turns golden.
  • Remove from heat and stir in walnuts and the rest of the sugar, quickly spoon the mix onto the tray trying to seperate them as best you can.
  • Leave to cool and store in an airtight container.

How I rate... 5 stars - perfect, will make again without any changes. 4 stars - Liked it, will make again again but with changes. 3 stars - had to make major changes but got it to work. 2 stars - had to make major changes and it didn't work. 1 star - went terribly, a waste of time and ingredients, I cried, BF cried the cats cried you get the picture...
