- 12 egg yolks, from pasteurized eggs
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 2 quarts half-and-half cream
- 1 quart whole milk
- 6 egg whites, from pasteurized eggs
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- grated nutmeg
directions
- Beat egg yolks until light; beat powdered sugar in gradually. Add half and half and milk very slowly, beating constantly.
- Whip egg whites and salt with clean beaters until stiff. Fold lightly into the other ingredients.
- Gently pour into punch bowl. Serve sprinkled with grated nutmeg.
- For safety purposes, use pasteurized eggs only.
