  1. Mix the dry ingredients for the cake.
  2. Stir in the Eggs and Pineapple.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 pan.
  4. Sprinkle the Coconut and Brown Sugar over the top.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min--or until cake is slightly browned on top and passes the "toothpick test".
  6. Once the cake is out of the oven, mix all of the syrup ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  7. Pour hot mixture over the warm cake.
  8. Make sure you let the cake sit for a few minutes to let the syrup get completely absorbed before serving.
