Surprise Cookies
"These are cinnamon-peanut butter cookies with a chocolate "surprise" inside. If you make the dough air-tight around the chocolate stars the chocolate will stay semi-solid even after the cookies cool. A former 4H-club award winner!"

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1⁄4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 (16 ounce) package chocolate stars
directions
- Combine peanut butter and brown sugar in a large bowl.
- Add butter and cream until fluffy.
- Add eggs and beat well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well.
- Cover dough and chill at least 30 minutes.
- Wrap dough around chocolate stars, forming small balls.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes.
