Sweet and Savoury Fish

"I used to serve this, when the boys were young. They would come home "proud as punch" with their catch of "spotties", a small edible fish but not with much flavour. It was more a matter of quantity not quality. The ingredients of this dish are stronger than the taste of the fish, thus an ideal way to use up the "prized " catch. Easy to make and inexpensive."

  • Mix all ingredients together, except flaked fish.
  • Bring to the boil over a low heat until thickened.
  • Add flaked fish and simmer gently until heated through.
  • Serve on a bed of rice.
