Ingredients: 1 egg; 1/2 cup water; 1 cup finely chopped water chestnut; 1 1/4 cups soft breadcrumbs; 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish; 1 lb ground beef; 1/4 cup sugar; 1 tablespoon cornstarch; 1/4 cup cider vinegar; 1/4 cup soy sauce; 1 small onion, finely chopped

ingredients

1 egg
¹⁄₂ cup water
1 cup finely chopped water chestnut
1 ¹⁄₄ cups soft breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 lb ground beef
sauce
¹⁄₄ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
¹⁄₄ cup cider vinegar
¹⁄₄ cup soy sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped

directions

in a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients.
crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
shape into 1 inch balls.
place in a greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.
bake, uncovered , at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink.
meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the first 5 sauce ingredients until smooth.
add onion.
bring to a boil.
cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
drain meatballs.
top with sauce.
