  • Meatballs: Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix well.
  • Form into 32 meatballs.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet.
  • Add meatballs.
  • Turn to brown on all sides.
  • Cover and cook until done, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove meatballs and drain fat from skillet.
  • Sauce: Stir together sugar and cornstarch.
  • Add vinegar, water, soy sauce, and ketchup.
  • Add to skillet.
  • Cook and stir until clear and thickened.
  • Add meatballs.
  • Heat through.

  2. my pickiest eater just loved this! i cut the sugar down to 1/2 c, used cider vinegar, and used turkey instead of beef for her. she says they are the best meatballs she's ever had! thanks mae, this is now in my permanent file:)
