Questions & Replies

  1. Can I cook the dough in air fryer instead of oven

  2. Do you put liquid first?

  3. I don't have a bread machine but make bread the 'old fashioned way'...by hand, do you think this recipe would come out o.k. should I attempt to make these? The reviews are sooooo positive.

  4. I have made this many times and they are delicious. Question though, why do the rolls become slimy like they are not cooked when I spread butter on them or eat them with saucy food? They are great if I don’t put those things. Thanks.

Reviews

  1. These rolls are so good! It makes too many for us, but I freeze the extra and they come out just as delicious as they do the first time. Thanks!

  2. My bread machine has apparently bought the farm and will no longer knead. I used my Kitchenaid mixer. I used the paddle first just to incorporate the ingredients and then kneaded with the dough hook for 2 minutes. I refrigerated the dough overnight, punched it down after taking it from the fridge and let it rest for about 20 minutes. I shaped the rolls and then let them rise before baking. The rolls baked up beautifully and they taste delicious. I did increase the sugar to 1/2 cup, just a personal preference. This recipe is a keeper.

  4. A picture perfect sweet, buttery roll recipe. Very easy to make. I divided the dough into 15 equal parts and put them in 3 rows of 5 in a 9" x 13" pan. Very tasty. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

  5. I am an experienced bread and roll baker and have several roll recipes but this one beats them ALL hands down! Very easy recipe. I usually divide the dough into 12 pieces in a 13x9 pan. They come out huge! I would give this recipe 1000 stars if that was possible :-) Thanks so much for an extraordinary recipe!!

Tweaks

  1. I switched the final rise and dough division steps. I applied canola oil to my hands before I split the dough into the 16 rolls before the final rise. I used the same sheet of ungreased parchment paper to split the dough into rolls and to line my baking sheet. One less thing to wash.

  2. This recipe is very similar to recipe #65340 except it had 2.5 tsp yeast and 1.5 tsp salt instead. Very good buns! Friends love them.
