Directions

  1. Thin slice and quarter 5 large sweet yellow onions.
  2. Melt the butter in a large, hot soup pot.
  3. Add onions and cook until tender, about 45 minutes.
  4. Add in the beef broth and wine.
  5. Simmer 5-10 minutes, or until hot and steaming.
