The recipe was extremely bland and I'm not quite sure what else I could do to make it taste better. I added a can of drained mandarin oranges segments and that didn't add anything to it.   1. In large saucepan cook sweet potatoes in boiling water for 10 minutes, or until fork tender. Let cool. In a large bowl, combine sweet potatoes, pineapple, celery, and pecans. Combine mayonnaise or salad dressing and the sour cream. Fold into salad. Chill if desired.
